Sorry, I've had it.

I hate to be the sort of person who does dramatic things when I'm upset, but I can't think of any better option at the moment.

I just spent about an hour writing a post about the latest bombshell that the Emerald viewer is dead-- an announcement which has me really stunned and upset-- and the whole thing has been lost. I watched it auto-saving at regular intervals as I typed, I saw no warnings about being logged off due to inactivity... I was typing steadily for nearly an hour, I hit Preview, I made a couple of changes, I clicked Publish, and went instantly to the login screen. I logged in, wondering WTF was up, and my post wasn't listed. The whole thing was gone. It would have been nice if I had gotten some sort of warning about being logged off; I didn't walk away and leave my screen inactive, so I have no idea why I was logged off, but if I'd known it was about to happen, I would have saved my work to a document.

So, that's it for now... I'm not interested in using Blogger's POS application. I've deleted all my posts, and I don't plan to write any more anytime soon. If I decide to move this blog elsewhere, I'll post that... otherwise, that's all, folks.
